Where's Osama? (Post #19)
As the war continues in Afghanistan nearly 10 years after the tragedy of 911 many Americans still ask where is Osama? We know that he and his terrorist organization Al Qaida, planned, trained for, and eventually carried the attacks of 911 with the Taliban government's support in Afghanistan. We had him cornered in the caves of Tora Bora when he escaped never to be seen again with the exception of the rare video or audio statement declaring war on the infidel. Where is he, why can't we find him? What's going on that the most powerful military in the world can't capture the most wanted man ever? Maybe it's just not as simple as it sounds a recent article (check the videos with the article) discusses the difficulty of this mission for the CIA. He could be protected by another government, friend or enemy. What do you think? Is Osama Bin Laden even important to us anymore? Should America make an effort to catch Osama? Is it worth it? Would it help bring peace in the war on terror? Please remember to be respectful to other bloggers.

Osama bin Laden is still important to us but not as impotant. Search for him, me must. however no to the extent we have been doing. I think we as America need to more of keep our eyes and hears open for him and Al Queada but not be putting as much money into the efforts as in the past. So yes he is important to be awhere of him but not openli searching for him. IF we were to catch hm it would probubly bring peace for awhile but some one would step up and fill the shoes in the terrorist group.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Drake, Osama is still important, but not a current threat. I think some resources should be used to keep looking for him, but not as much as the past, because there are more urgent thearts that need to be dealt with.
ReplyDeleteCatching Osama Bin Laden is not as vital as it was. The United States has already crippled many of his assets and sent him into hiding, where his effectiveness and danger is very limited. Our main objective now is to keep the terrorist networks on their heels so they cannot carry out another plan like September 11th. I would love to see Osama captured, but right now I believe it would be more of a final hurrah rather than an actual necessity.

capturing osama has benn a topic that over the years has faded. i still belive that he should be captured and have a proper punishment for the terror he has coused. the by wich we capture him on the other hand should not be of exccesive amount, we should not waist thousands of $ looking for someone who may have grater powers supporting him but also because there are more important things we need to focus on. capturing osama will bring peace to the war and terror so many have died for.

Well, In my opinion Osama might be alive or dead! I think he's dead cause nobody has seen him or heard of him. how can he be still alive? BUt if he's caputured that will be a good thing. that way their could be peace and end of war. America is spending toooooo much money on the war!

where is he? obviously we dont know.
ReplyDeletewhy cant we find him? he probably has help from other countries.
strongest military cant find him? ok, we got the biggest guns, doesnt mean we can find 1 tiny man on this HUGE planet.
Osama is a symbol, he stands for the war on terror, if we took him down, the world would calm down to a degree, and feel more at peace.
we should make an effort to catch Osama, but we shouldn't make it our prime goal.
i dont think it would help the war much, catching Osama would probably start even more problems because his followers or other radicals might get upset by the "infidel" taking their "hero" hostage.
Osama is a threat and should still be looked into. At this time, Osama is hidden for a reason. We have no idea what he could be doing, or who is helping him. For all we know, he could be creating some plot for another terrorist attack. In conclusion, it is not necessary to go all out on his capture now, but should not be forgotten.

I think that we should still search as much as we have in the past. I agree with fit for life though that if we did take him down that it might calm down a little bit but than i think that his followers would get angry and fight back. And I believe that Osama sould be caught and punished for training the group of terrorist that later attacked the twin towers and the pentagon and the ones that ended up getting the one plane crashed in to a feild. I think that we should continue to look for him untill we know for sure that he is in fact dead he is still a threat even in hiding it just shows that people can in fact get away with attacking the U.S.
ReplyDeleteWith all the other problems we are having to deal with here on the homefront, like the budget issues, I dont believe it is very important to find Osama. It has been years since he attacked us, and while he may be planning to do more, it is probably very difficult to do while in hiding. While i believe that it is important to keep an anti terrorist effort, it is not a very effective use of our time to try and capture Osama after years of futile attempts to do so.

Finding osama should be a deffinate priority of the U.S military because for one he planned the worst terrorist attack against us in U.S history secondly whos to say that hes not going to try again, and thirdly i think that it would send a message of fear to other prominant terrorists makeing them realize they will be caught and punished.
ReplyDeleteJake beilby
From this point on, trying to find osama will just be a waste of time and money. The governmentt has wasted to many americAN dollars for the search of this man and he has not even been captured yet. The us army should just stop the search and focus on other aspects this country needs.
ReplyDeleteIt is still important to make an effort to catch osama, but he has been underground so long it will have no effect on peace or war. Once he is caught, he should be severely punished for the crimes he commited.
ReplyDeleteVicente Chavez
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I believe that Osama isnt a threat anymore. this is because since he is wanted he stays hidden, so he has a less chance of making another attack, however since he is part of the Al Qaida organization he may have men to order to attack. So i think that he should be found, but than again it dont really matter.
It would be great if we found/caught Osama but through the years it hasnt stayed such a big priority. We have more important things to focus on than finding him.

I think it's necessary to find Osama Bin Laden in order to make an example out of him. It is important for us to find and try him in order to show the rest of the world that we're not messing around anymore, and that people just can't walk all over the USA. We need to do this so similar events never occur again.

i think that he has been put on the back burrner. i think that every month we find a new issue to make a big deal about. i have to options of where he is. one is that he died. the other is that the Gov't has him in a secret location miles under the grown lcked away for life. i think that it would give the veterans of war relife to find him but not as much as an effect now to americans.
honestly, yeah Osama is still out there... I think we should capture him, and water board him.... hahaha just kidding. Okay yeah he is a HUGE threat to the United States, but obviously he is either A)hiding somewhere watching his version of Dr. Phil and eating corn dogs or possibly B) planning another attack on our country... yeah I know this is an issue but honestly I feel as if our Military knows what to expect and will be ready, so as for Osama... bring it.... on hahaha
ReplyDeleteOsama Bin Laden is still important for the U.S. to find. It would bring some peace of mind knowing that one of the leaders of the 911 attacks has been caught, but it is not the first priority of the U.S. We don't know if and when he is planning more attacks against us, so it would be a good idea to continue looking for him.
ReplyDeleteI think catching Osama is improtant but not as much we use to care. But overall i think he should be caught because he should be punished for all the lives he has taken for no fault. I think catching him will make alot of Americans happy whose loved once died in the attacks of 9/11.

I believe that Osama's where abouts are not that important to the government anymore. While in hiding Osama cannot do much without the help of supporters and not much has really happened since 911 to even worry about Osama. My thoughts are that the government is still only trying to catch Osama so that, not only can they prevent another attack, but also for our citizens peace of mind and sense of justice. It would be a great relief to all the family members of the victums of 911 for Osama to be caught, however our government's main priority, for a while now, has been our troops in Afganistan and Iraq and whether or not it is secure to bring them home. I believe our efforts should be more focused on what is happening today, no matter how much we want Osama captured.
ReplyDeleteOsama Bin Laden? I thought this guy died during the earthquake in Pakistan a while back. Well if he's still alive, I believe he's still a national threat, but not as dangerous as he was before. He could still plan terrorism, but I think he's not the real threat anymore.
ReplyDeleteThere's two places this guy could be. Either crawling around in a cave like the rat he is or living it up somewhere within our own borders, most likely Vegas. I do beleive our goverment should continue looking for him, then when we find Osama let the Iraqi people take care of him since we no longer have Guantanamo Bay, nice change Obama, if he came here our justice system would be much too soft and human for the level of crime he has committed.
ReplyDeleteI dont think it is as important to find osama bin laden anymore after the military made him run off into hiding. He is not as much of a threat anymore.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that we should capture osama because he is a big threat to the united states. He is evil and could potentially do a Lot of damage. ALso he should suffer for the hurt he put on others! he should die right when he gets to the states! :)
ReplyDeleteI believe that Osama bin laden is not a major threat to the united states at this point. If anything I think he's either dead or ready to surrender for the fact that he keeps hiding from the U.S military. Catching osama doesn't seem that important as it used to be back when the war had barely started. i think that his capture, if it ever happens, is somewhat important to some people due to the fact that he was the leading person in the attacks. Although, catching him isn't going to end the war on terror and can maybe start a new war with that government that was protecting him, if indeed it's true..

The search for Osama Bin Laden, has slowly but steadily began to fade. I believe that although it is not as vital as before, capturing him should still on the minds of our governments security. Though there are other threats at hand, you can't just forget the past. In my opinion, we should definitely keep the search for bin laden going, but not ashby effort as we had did before.
ReplyDeleteSloan P/2
I agree with Jacob Hohsfield. Though Osama may still be a threat. If not he, then his minions. People still admire this man and heed his orders. If he still alive. Maybe he did actually die?
ReplyDeleteEven though Osama should be captured it is quite obvious that just by capturing him all the terroirst attacks will not end. Our military might be the best one in the world, but we must take into consideration that the U.S. cannot just be tracking down Osama amd in any case i believe that catching him would cause to much turmoil and would bring about more problems. Even though he is a horrible person and potentially could cause threats, but for now our government has other things that they must focus on before trying to capture Osama. Obviously the U.S. also has confidential information that they must keep about him because i am sure that with all the intelligence we have we problably do know or assume were he is at, but have not taken action against him yet.
ReplyDeleteIn earlier years this would have been something easy to talk about because of course we would do anything to have him dead. But as far as now in the present there is no reason to spend half as much effort as we did in the past. Yes it would be the best thing in the world to capture and torture him for the rest of his life here in the U.S., but I believe the day we capture him should just come to us instead of us waisting time and money in looking for him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think our government is trying very hard to find him. I think if we wanted to bed enough then we would have already, we have the technology we just don't want to use it. By we i mean our government and CIA.

ReplyDeleteI agree with what everyone on this blog has already stated: It would be great if Osama was captured. If he were captured it may make some people feel safer. However, this shouldn't be on the very top of our priority list. Osama could be dead for all we know. But then again, he could be alive with friends that are helping him remain hidden. We don't know. With all of our problems on the homefront, catching Osama isn't a necessity. Like others have said, he is probably of little threat to the U.S. at this point.
ReplyDeleteOsama is not that great of a threat any more and I think that we should call off some of the search so that way we can actually deal with more important things at hand rather than search for a ghost. Key word here is SOME not everyone, but SOME.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if we could catch Osama but it's very difficult to find one man on this huge planet.
ReplyDeleteHe is still a threat ti the U.S and if we can gather evidence to where he is we can still pursue him but at this point he is not at the top of our list that U.S needs to worry about.

ReplyDeleteI believe that although capturing him may not be as vital as it was when we began this war, it is still important. I do not see how we could ever win the war, or say that it is over with, until we find him. But the truth is, he may already be dead. All of the audio tapes and videos could have been previously recorded, and now slowly being leaked out to the media. And even if he is not dead, then he is probably ill and will not live much longer, and this is why we need to capture him now, before he dies, and make him face all of the crimes that he has committed.

ReplyDeletei dont think that catching Osama Bin Laden is as important as it was. The United States has already sent him into hiding, where he is not very dangerous and cannot be as effective. Our focus should be to keep terrorist networks at bay so that they cannot carry out another plan like September 11th. I would love to see Osama caught, but i don't think that it is vital.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if we caught Osama Bin Laden, but why spend so much energy and resources on someone that attacked the U.S. 10 years ago? Is he even doing anything now to affect us? We need to catch Osama. He killed our people, made our entire country suffer, and gets away with it? That don't fly... or at least it shouldn't. Not in my book, and certainly not in America (the best country on earth). As for why we can't find him, we can. We have in the past. We just don't know for sure where he is now, though there is some very poignant evidence pointing toward the Pakistani government hiding him. In the early 2000's we knew he was in the Afghan mountains. We hellfire missiled the rocks out of many caves and progressively worked towards the center of the mountain range. When stupid politicians made our forces halt actions a few days, a convoy left those mountains. I and Many high ranking military officials believe Osama was in that convoy. Where did it go? Pakistan. Today we consider Pakistan an ally - of sorts. We send them evidence of Al-Queda and Taliban leaders and camps in their country and they go "investigate" the area. It is shocking that they never seem to find anything...
ReplyDeleteWhen confronted with our belief Osama is in the North region of their country, they said there was no evidence pointing in that direction. When the Pentagon was asked if Osama was there, they neither confirmed nor denied if he was or not. Check out this site if you don't believe me. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/oct/18/osama-bin-laden-pakistan-nato
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but i think our military knows exactly where Osama Bin-Laden is. They havent killed him because they dont want to start a war with the Pakistani government. If we were to kill Osama without pakistan's approval, Pakistan would get mad. As would all the Arab countries, probably. So for now we can't do much except watch Osama's every move... as we probably have been doing since Sept. 12, 2001.
I feel it is stil necessary for us to capture Osama Bin Laden. He is hiding somewhere in the Pakistani mountains and probably being harbored by the government. The capture of him is still relevant to national security.
ReplyDeleteI think that osama is still pretty important, but not as important than it used to be. I feel as though we should still have some search for him but not such a big one. He doesn't impose that much of a threat anymore though, our security has improved and if he were to try something again we'd be able to catch it. But the search isnmt even working. We still have no idea where it is. It's not really helping.

Of course he's still important! Look at what he has done to our country. I, personally, don't think that should be something that can be dropped just because of time. He's probably protected by the messed up government over that, by the way, doesn't like us! If we just laid low and tried to let the government loosen the ropes a little, I bet we could find him. Send miners underground or something. He's in there somewhere. I'm not sure it would help to bring peace in the war on terror, but it sure would bring peace of mind to Americans. I'm not sure full peace of mind will ever be found, considering we're pulling out of a half finished war right now, but that's irrelevant. If we find Osama, we probably won't get brutally terrorized again. He's the leader! Any attack plans wouldn't work without his obviously brilliant mind putting it all together for Al Qaida.

Osama is still important, but it might not seem as significant because everyone's anger toward him has cooled down. He has to be captured for the safety of the people. If he was able to cause 9/11 who knows whether he is going to attack again. The problem is that he can't be found. Although the U.S has an idea of where he might be, nothing is for sure until he is found. For all we know he might be somewhere else or dead. I just hope that he is caught and punished for all those innocent lives he helped take.
ReplyDeleteOsama is not very important anymore. He is seldom brought up and when he is, it is nothing major. He will probably never be caught and at this point that is okay. He has clearly seen what we are capable of when we are provoked and could never successfully attack our country as he did before. Searching for him now is just a waste of taxpayer dollars and will continue to increase our national debt. If no one has found him in 10 years, then no one probably ever will.
ReplyDeletei dont think that it is our number one priority to catch osama. however, i still believe it is important for our country's safety that we capture him. this man has successfully terrorized our country and took many lives. it is only right that he be found. he's a smart fella so i wouldnt expect to read that he's been captured in tomorrows paper.
ReplyDeleteOsama is definitely still a wanted man, and it's still important to capture him in order to eliminate any future threats he might pose in the future. Finding and disposing of him would clear many people's minds of the horrible crimes he has committed against America. However, eliminating him could potentially spark more conflict between the Middle East and America, so I can see why some people might propose to just leave it be.
ReplyDeleteConner Woods Bauer
I still believe he's important to try to capture him. He did an extremely terrible thing and took many innocent lives away, and he should be put to justice. If he's left alone, it's possible that he'll try to find a way to attack our country again. It's true that many people's emotions and anger have cooled off, but I still believe, no matter how much time has passed, he should be punished for doing all that he did.

ReplyDeletebreana spiro p.4 sloan obviously no one knows where he is but the thing is to catch the little people who help him carry out the plans because he him self isnt doing them he like charles manson has other people doing things so we should target his followers and take it from there.
ReplyDeleteI think that the United States could catch Osama Bin Laden but the government chooses not to. If we caught Osama people would start asking why the CIA needs so much money if they already had their most wanted man and the CIA would lose funding. I also think that Osama isn't that important nowadays because the war that where fighting in Afghanistan has nothing to do with him and we are bombing randam Taliban locations in Pakistan where we know someone smart like Osama would go. Osama was smart and he has let the steam cool off and gotten away with a huge terror attack.

I would say it's not really a necessity to find Osama at this point. Our search for him has already sent him into hiding, where his effectiveness and danger is very limited. However, he did cause a lot of damage and pain and I'm sure it would provide some closure to families who lost loved ones on that day if he was found.
ReplyDeleteJoeylee Maimone, Sloan 4
ReplyDeleteI bet tons of people have forgot all about the search for Osama. Other important and most recent events have taken the place of all the attention on searching for him. Yeah, I believe it is important to find him but after this long maybe we should just let things happen for themselves and worry about other equally important situations.
Osama shouldn't get away with the crimes he committed against our country, and so it is important to find him. And, if there's not a whole lot going on in the world right now and we can afford to dedicate resources to this pursuit right now then great. However, if there are more pressing matters, then they would deserve higher priority and we could scale down the Osama search. The search shouldn't be altogether abandoned though.
ReplyDeleteI don't really find it to be that important to catch Osama, because he's obviously in hiding, so let him stay there. It would be nice to see him be caught, but worry about more important investigations.

I think that Osama is either hiding somewhere just to keep safe, or because he is trying to do another attack on the U.S. I think that unless he is trying to do another attack we should just leave the situation alone, because it would become worse, then he would really try to damage the U.S. in some way.
I believe that catching Osama Bin Laden is not as important as it was. The United States main goal has to keep away anymore terrorist attacks like September 11th.

I believe that capturing Osama like another blogger said isn't as vital as it may of been a few years ago. Osama has very limited options and can't do much since he's the World's Most Wanted and everybody knows about him. I think our country should be more focused on security and our country's protection to avoid any future unsuspected attacks or whatever.

I personally believe that its still necessary to capture Osama because of what he has done and in case of any future plans he may derive. I don't think it should be the number one priority, but it should be still be one. I can't be angered that our military hasn't found him because he is only one man and I'm sure one man with his connections could conceive a plan to avoid capture.

I think that Osama is still alive, and his country is hiding him very well. I mean they did plan the 911 attack without the US having any suspision, what more can they hide? Alot probably. I think its important to find him, but it shouldnt be the countrys main priority. if one day we do, whats going to happen? I dont think were going to kill him because first of all he is not from our country.
The concern that we have for capturing Osama is not for our own personal gain, but to make sure he does not strike the United States again. If Osama has been so clever as to avoid being captured by the United States's top police forces, who says he won't devise another plan of attack on America? That's what worries me about not having him captured and why I believe that capturing Osama is more vital to the safety of America than chugging out all of our funds to the war in the Middle East.
ReplyDeleteDevin Smith, Mr. Bauer. P.1.
In my opinion it is very important to capture Osama. all the past and future things Osama is planning are all important to finding him and executing him or keeping him captive. It is going to be a difficult task to find him, because im sure he will do anything it takes to keep away from being captured.
ReplyDeleteI think that Osama is still hiding and has friends with other governments. He probably and does now have body guards and people that look like him. I think it would be nice to catch Osama so he cannot threaten the world, but I dont think it is our top priority.
ReplyDeleteI think that Osama is still out there also but I think that he not the only leader but there are also other who we should focus and i also think that the war will never end and that if we try to stop it that there will be another one started so we should find some other kind of plan

To me osama is still alive and well hidden, but I think that the country should not waste time looking for him. I believe that the bad guys always come back themselves once they feel they have gotten away with it.
ReplyDeleteOsama bin Laden is a 16th century throwback. A piece of trash from the Middle East. Thanks to our brave men and women in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard, this piece of trash is of no significance. Al Qaida has been destroyed and demoralized. No longer do they have a prominence in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I feel that finding osama is a waste of time he doesn't seem to be an immediate threat so we shouldnt spend extra time looking for him. I still feel that he should be somewhat of a priority but it needs to be like finding him accidently. We shouldnt spend extra money on forces to find him though.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Osama is still out there and up to no good. I think it's very important for us to catch this man because he is dangerous and he must be punished for all the trouble he has caused. I know the US has many things to worry about but i think that we should be concerned about his search because he might cause another destruction in our country or in others.

searching for osama is of great importance ,however he is no ttthe main concern if we do find him and kill him or whatever somone will just take charge of the group of terorists. so it will just stall the group and their actions for awhile to do any lasting damage we nee to find the group and scater them out and keep them from organizing anymore.
ReplyDeleteOsama has been forced into hiding. His followers may be loyal to him, although it seems as though Osama would have very limited power due to his will to escape capture. He cannot easily surround himself with his followers because that may cause awareness of his whereabouts. Although it is important to Americans in order to obtain justice it is not necessarily vital that Osama is captured. I do think, however, that Osama must be caught and eventually if he thinks the government has "laid off" he will get lazy, expose himself, and his capture will happen.
ReplyDeleteGabriella Cello

Finding Osama is important, but not vital. The reason for capturing him now would be to punish him for his crimes, more than to stop a major threat. The search effort to find him should be diminished and resources wasted should be better used on more urgent matters. If they haven't found him in so many years, it could mean that he is already dead.
ReplyDeleteIts been 10 years if he hasn't been found yet the chances are he probably wont be. Osama is not the threat he was way back when and he shows no signs of striking again. He cant really start a new attack if he is hiding. Though he still should be captured for what he did it is sort of a waste of time to look for just one guy.
ReplyDeleteI think Osama is still important to us, but it's been years we don't know where the guy is. We shouldn't spend as much, however much it is, on trying to search because i don't think we'll ever find him, dead or alive. It's best to keep track on terrorist groups and show them that we are a stronger country than before.
ReplyDeleteWe can't find him because it's harder than it seems. I think the reason we can't find him is because another nation might be covering him also and this is still a big world. It would be great to capture him but the tragedy was 10 years ago. We should just move on and make sure nothing like 9/11 happens again.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that Osama Bin Laden is important to the people who lost loved ones on 9/11. They'll never get thoes lives back and if you could get revenge on the person who did it, then most people would take advantage of that and keep searching. Catching Osama wouldn't bring peace to the war on terror because there will always be people who are filled with hate, but he should pay for what he did. Sometimes the things we're looking for end up being right in front of us... the CIA shouldn't give up.
ReplyDeleteI don't think its an easy task to find one person in the world, so i don't think theres much we can do that we aren't already. I don't think Osama is as important as he used to be because America has done alot in the war to prevent the taliban from gaining power. I dont think finding him will bring more peace either so i think we should focus on other things.
ReplyDeleteHEY!THIS DUDE COMMITTED ONE OF THE BIGGEST CRIMES EVER. WE HAVE TO FIND HIM. DEAD OR ALIVE! HE NEEDS TO PAY FOR EVERY LIFE THAT WAS LOST THAT DAY. I THINK THAT HE NEEDS TO PAY UP FOR HIS ACTIONS. HE MIGHT HAVE AN ALLY HELPING HIM LAY LOW. I THINK THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHAT IF HE IS PLANNING ANOTHER ATTACK? THE USA SHOULD FIND HIM AND NOT GIVE UP. OSAMA IS STILL VERY IMPORTANT TO THIS DAY. I THINK IT WILL BRING PEACE TO THE WAR AND WHO KNOWS THE WAR MIGHT END WITH HIS DISCOVERY!
ReplyDeletewhile i do want osama to be caught, i also realize that he is not a major priority at this time. He has been sent into hiding and enough of his supporters have been caught to severly limit his influence. i think it is more important for the CIA to focus on preventing further attacks from more prominent terrorist cells.
ReplyDeleteAs kayla smith said, osama is not a huge priority. he's like a bonus find right now. Of course it's still important that we find him, because with time he could build another following. But the US is spending too much time and money on osama's whereabouts instead of national security.

I don't believe he's AS important to us anymore. I don't think we should focus all of our time on him, but if we happen to come across him then sure! Get him! Hah.I don't recall hearing about any videos in the past few years so for all we know he's dead. It's not worth our time or money to look for him anymore. Unless we get some suspicious information or things start to look iffy.
ReplyDeletei think it is still important to find him so we can punish him for what he did to our country. We way not be able to find him because he is no longer of any terrorist organizations and has no connection to the world because he is trying to hide from us. He could even be dead, no one really knows.

At this point, the chances of Osama Bin Laden launching another terrorist attack seem slim to none. Of course, another government with a grudge against the United States could be sheltering him, just biding their time until they attack, but that just doesn't seem likely. Instead of trying to find Bin Laden to exact the revenge we seem so intent upon giving, I think the US should put priority of this man on the back burner, which has basically already happened. Of course, the US cannot risk the possibility of another attack, but to continue searching seems moot.
ReplyDeleteLeave him alone he struck us once and say that the U.S doesnt play that kind of game. You hit us we hit right back once he saw us destroying his homelands he ran off and hid. Maybe he could be planning something but not planning on until the U.S attacks him again so lets just leave him be . jordan elzie per 2 sloan
ReplyDeleteI do not think that catching Bin Laden would end the war on terror; the U.S. knows that there are other terrorists out there. Bin Laden is still important to us because of the chaos that 9/11 caused; the effort to catch Bin Laden has lead to the capturing of other terrorists, so i think the efforts should continue.

In my opinion, and maybe my ignorance as well, I see the only reason for us to continue or search for Osama would be to please the hearts of those whom lost a family/friend due to his terrible, terrible actions. I believe that vengeance alone though is not a good enough reason. It amazed me how much money that has come out of our pockets for such a cause. I think that as long as we don't think he's about to strike again, we should give up this mission, at least for now as the same funding we put into our search could definitely be spent in better ways when our country is suffering so badly financially in the first place.

I have no idea no idea how our government will go about capturing Osama, but I don't think we should stop looking though. I think we need to capture this evil man and get rid of him once and for all. If he's being protected by another government, we might wanna consider taking their army down. If we don't continue our pursuit, who knows what he could do next. But, I don't think Osama's capture will bring and end to the war on terror.

I believe we should still focus on capturing osama but not to the extent they have been doing. This is important because the deaths of soldiers wont be in vain. it will make a diffrence because it will be a symbol that the US does not tolerate being terrorized.
Catching Osama Bin Laden isn't as important as it was in the past. The United States has already caught many of his followers and caused him to hide, where his distruction is very limited. Our main problem now is to keep the other terrorists on their feet so they cannot create another plan like Sept 11th. I would like to see Osama caught, but at this moment I believe its not as important as other things in our country
ReplyDeleteI believe that finding Osama is not as important as it was. I believe we should eventually capture him in order to be positive he can no longer plan terrorist attacks yet the US has bigger problems right now. We should not spent more money and effort on this continued search than needed.

We let Sadam slip under the radar and thousands of Americans died because of it. All terrorists should be sought out with the same effort, and the last I checked Osama was still a terrorist whether or not his whereabouts are known. Osama should be searched for.

ReplyDeleteCatching osama bin laden will calm and satisfy a lot of Americans I believe. However, the question could be raised of if hes even alive anymore. Many of his follwers could easily dress up as him, recent recordings could actually be from very long ago. I mean honestly, the man has been living on the run in caves for years, he cannot be the healthiest person ever.
He may be dead.
ReplyDeleteHe is still important, to say he isn't is rather naive. This man is definitely dangerous if he is still alive. To just ignore him, would be to ignore that tiger in the corner of the room. If we do not watch out for him, he may attack when we are unprepared.

osama should be a deffinate priority of the U.S military because for one he planned the worst terrorist attack against us in U.S history. well osama should be find because he killed many innocent people that were just innocemt its not fair. i no vengance is no good but its worth it looking for osama.
ReplyDeleteOsama Bin Ladin needs to be caught. yes he attacked the US 10 years ago, but if we stop searching we are showing him that we have given up and in a sense he has won. If we let him win his ego gets a huge boost and he is tempted to attack again. If in fact another attack were to happen and it was osama's plan and we had stopped searching for him, can you imagine the anger amount US citizens?
ReplyDeletei think we chould just stop looking for him, and give up, maybe after that hell show up and thats when we attack? or maybe he fell on a ditch n died n is all bones now, who knows? but its not worth it anymore
ReplyDeleteIf we werw to ever capture Osama, the taliban will be most upset. Maybe starting more war with U.S. Most likely if we do capture him the death penalty is what he might get. I dont know how he got away but it surprises me because we have a great secret service and alot of satelites thatt can see alot. If alive, Osama is still dangerous. Maybe he changed his identity and alter his look
